The overall work effort will take between 18-24 months.
Throughout the life of the work effort there has been, and will continue to be, many opportunities to gather community input utilizing on-line questionnaires, community workshops, a multi-day open house, and public hearings.

The Specific Plan was kicked off in October 2024 with a Downtown tour conducted with a Steering Committee made up of representatives from varying local interest groups.

Community Workshop
January 9, 2025
A community workshop was held at the WOW Classroom Building. The team shared our observations and existing conditions analysis findings and gathered initial feedback. Click on the Workshop Presentation link below to see what was discussed at the community workshop.

Community Open House,
February 4 & 5, 2025
A multi-day Open House was held at 22 South Main Street and the event included presentations in both English and Spanish. The activities allowed for multiple opportunities for interactive public participation to review the findings, discuss thoughts and ideas, and generate initial design concepts for Downtown Lodi.

The City hosted an Open House at 22 South Main Street which allowed for additional public review of the project team's findings and analysis and provided an opportunity to obtain input from the community. The event included presentations in both English and Spanish.



Two Study Sessions were held to discuss the Downtown Specific Plan’s purpose and status, summarize community outreach to date, highlight opportunities and preliminary concepts, and clarify the next steps in the process. Both Study Sessions took place at the Council Chambers in the Carnegie Forum at 305 West Pine Street.

Downtown Specific Plan Update
The City of Lodi and its consultant team have completed an extensive outreach process to gather community input on the Downtown Specific Plan. The consultant team is now drafting the plan, incorporating feedback from public workshops, surveys, Steering Committee meetings, and presentations to Planning Commission and City Council. Opportunities for public review and comment will be available once the draft is released.
